Themes in EVS syllabus- The syllabus for classes III to V is organized around six main themes as listed below, the main theme of "Family and Friends" is divided into four subthemes:Family and friendsRelationshipsWork in playAnimalsPlantsFoodShelterWaterTravelThings we make and do."Plants" and "animals" have been included under the theme "Family and Friends" to emphasize how humans have a strong relationship with them and to provide a holistic and integrated scientific and social perspective on studying them.Traditionally, plants and animals have been presented as separate categories now it is attempted to place them in a social and cultural context here to sensitize students towards them by enabling them to consider plants and animals as part of their family and to break stereotypes that they cannot be a part of our family.Hence, we conclude that the reason for such placement is A, B & C.
