Teaching strategy- It is the method adopted by the teacher to access children throughout the learning process.Visually impaired children- They are born with visual impairments or become visually impaired later on due to illness, malnutrition, or an accident. Strategies to use while teaching visually impaired students?Using tactile materials or large print books- Teachers should try and incorporate tactile learning experiences whenever possible for visually impaired students. For example- instead of talking about flowers and showing their images, the teacher should actually have flowers available in the classroom for the students to touch and handle.Making the EVS lesson concrete- Concrete learning means learning by being involved in a new experience. It helps children learn new concepts and relate them to what they have already learned.Preparing audio lessons- Recording audio lessons is the simplest and cheapest technique to improve the learning environment for visually impaired or blind students. This allows them to listen to the instructions or lecture several times to ensure that they fully comprehend what has been taught.Hence, we conclude that the most appropriate strategies to teach EVS to visually impaired students are A, B & D.Whereas explaining concepts with simple diagrams will not help in assisting the children with visual impairments.
