IBPS provides its services to all Public-Sector Banks (PNB, BOB, etc.), SBI, RBI, NABARD, SIDBI, LIC & Insurance companies and other Banks which are regular members of the IBPS society. The basic pay for IBPS PO is Rs. 23700/-.
Apart from this, Probationers are also entitled to various perks including Annual increment, Dearness Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, etc.

The basic pay is Rs, 26,706/- and Gross salary is Rs, 37,068/-

- After selection as Probationary Officer, candidates are placed in Junior Management Grade Scale-I.
- They need to undergo a probation period of 1 year.
- During this probation period, candidates undergo various training in order to learn practical aspects of banking.
- The IBPS PO job profile is a multitasking job, it includes customer service, Supervision of Clerical work, loan processing, etc.

The candidate who made it to qualify the IBPS PO Prelims Exam will be eligible for Mains Exam. Preliminary exam is the first step for IBPS PO selection procedure which is mandatory to clear in order to jump on the second step.
The prelims exam has 3 sections namely Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and English with a time duration of 20 minutes for each section.
While Quants and reasoning sections comprise 35 questions each and english section comprises 30 questions.
The mains exam has 4 sections namely Quantitative Aptitude, English, General awareness and Reasoning & Computer Aptitude with time durations of 45 minutes, 40 minutes, 35 minutes and 60 minutes respectively.
While Quants and English sections comprise 35 questions each and GA section comprises 40 questions and Reasoning and Computer section comprises 45 questions.

The institute specifies that candidates who wish to appear for the IBPS PO EXAM ould at least have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Candidates appearing for IBPS PO exam must be abreast of the latest exam pattern and syllabus of the exam.
Other qualifications acceptable as equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree such as AMIE, departmental courses from the government etc. are also allowed.
For the courses mentioned above, the candidate should furnish proof that the qualification is considered equivalent to a degree (Graduation) by the Government of India.
For the rigorous practice of IBPS PO exam, it is advised to take IBPS PO Mock Tests regularly.
Candidates have to specify the percentage obtained in Graduation while filling in the online application. Also, the candidates being awarded CGPA have to convert the same into a percentage. Percentage calculation must be done to the nearest two decimals.
The fraction of percentage arrived will be ignored, i.e. 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%, and 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%.
The Institute does not specify any IBPS PO eligibility percentage. The individual banks use the IBPS calculation of aggregate percentage for their purposes.

Applicants not covered under the SC, ST, OBC categories and have a gross annual income less than 8 lakh rupees are identified as EWS candidates i.e. candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Section. Such candidates are entitled to the benefit of 10% reservation for the vacancies released by IBPS.
Important Points related to IBPS PO Eligibility for EWS Category
The income from all sources such as salary, business, agriculture, profession, etc. will be included in revenue. This income will be the income from the financial year preceding the year of application.
However, a person possessing any of the following assets will not be included in the EWS category, irrespective of his annual family income.
While applying for the property holding test to determine EWS status, the property owned in different locations by a particular “Family” is clubbed.
Candidates seeking to avail the benefit of EWS reservation for IBPS PO Selection Process will have to produce an Income and Asset Certificate at the time of document verification and interview round issued by a Competent Authority in the prescribed format.
The term “Family” will include the person seeking the benefit of reservation, his parents, siblings below 18 years of age, spouse and children below 18 years of age.
As per the Government of India norms, persons with benchmark disabilities are eligible for reservation under section 34 of “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016”.
The categories of disabilities eligible to avail reservation under the Act is as follows:
People with benchmark disabilities will be allocated the reserved vacancies as prescribed in the “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016” and as per vacancies reported to IBPS by Participating banks.
Candidates whose writing speed is affected permanently or with minimum benchmark disability for any reason are allowed to use their own scribe during IBPS PO Exam 2020, but have to abide by certain rules mentioned below.
Since compensatory time given to candidates shall be a system based process, therefore, only candidates who register for the same will be allowed such concessions.
Candidates with a minimum of 40% Cerebral Palsy and Locomotor Disability where dominant extremity i.e. writing is affected to the scope where it may slow down the performance will be permitted a compensatory time of 20 min/hr or otherwise advised.
Candidates will be provided a compensatory time of 20 min/hr of the exam only if they are more than 40% Intellectually Disabled, mentally ill, Autistic or have Specific Learning Disability, irrespective of availing the Scribe services.
Visually Impaired candidates suffering from 40% or more disability may opt to view the contents of question paper in magnified font and will be eligible for compensatory time of 20 min/hr otherwise advised. Only the visually impaired candidates who are not using the services of Scribe will be permitted to avail the facility of viewing the contents of the test in the magnifying font.

Step 1: Click on the above mentioned link to get redirected to the official page of IBPS.
Step 2: The link is provided on the home page of IBPS for filling in the application form of Probationary Officer offered through IBPS PO exam 2024.
Step 3: Now, click on CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION link provided on the topmost right hand side of the page.
Step 4: You will be redirected to the first section of the form. Fill in all your basic information and click on Save and Next button at the bottom of the page
Step 5: You will now be redirected to the second section of the application form. You are required to upload your photograph and signature in this section. The permissible size of the photograph must be 4.5 cm * 3.5 cm. The photograph must be of passport size and both the photograph and the signature must be clear and legible. Permissible file size of photograph must be of minimum 20 KB and of maximum 50 KB and that of the signature must be of minimum 10 KB and of maximum 20 KB.
Step 6: Click on next button after uploading your photograph and signature successfully
Step 7: You are now required to fill in your personal details. There are three sub-sections that need to be completed in this portion of the application form.
After you have filled in your personal details, you are required to fill in your Educational Qualifications and your Work Experience. Once you are done with this, you are required to fill in the preference list.
In the preference list mention the name of the centre. You need to select the place from which you want to give the exam. You need to mention 4 places as your centre preference.
After the choices have been made, click on save and next
Step 8: After you are done with the above process, a preview of your application form will appear before you. In case you find any error, you can edit the information provided by you.Once the data is uploaded and saved, you are not allowed to make any changes in the form, whatsoever. Therefore, kindly review all the details provided by you while filling in the application form.
Step 9: Finally, Select the preferable payment method to fill in the application fee for IBPS PO 2020 Exam. All payments are done online. Candidates can pay the Application fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking etc.
Step 11: Click on Submit button. Your application will be successfully submitted.
Syllabus scan: For the preparation of IBPS PO, one must go through with the syllabus of IBPS PO so that students get an idea about important topics and can secure more marks in less time. To get an idea about paper pattern one can also go through the previous year paper that helps a lot in the preparation of the exam.
Time Table: One must follow a strict time table to be successful n the exam as we all know that continuity is a vital role in the preparation of exams. Go through the concepts of each topic, do not make a habit of cramming things.
