Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), a power generating and distribution organization of the Government of Punjab, has played a key role in the implementation of Punjab Government plans for Electrification. PSPCL is looking for young & dynamic candidates with a brilliant academic record for the post of LDC/Typist and Junior Engineer (JE)/Electrical and Clerk/Typist and Others. Online Exam will be held at various locations throughout Punjab.
Every year more than 50000+ aspirants appear for the PSPCL examination. The Online Registration for PSPCL is from September 2022 to October 2022. PSPCL will introduce 2632 vacancies for Junior Engineer/Electrical and LDC/Typist and Others Exam.

The revised basic pay of Junior Engineer/Electrical, Sub Station Attendant (SSA) thus becomes - 6400-20200+Rs.3700 Grade pay
The revised basic pay of LDC/Typist thus becomes – 6400-20200+Rs.3400 Grade pay
- In PSPCL, JE has a public dealing job.
- He needs to satisfy the customers by providing them uninterrupted supply.
- A JE prepares estimates like installation of new transformers, poles, cables, etc.
- A JE draws all the material from the store on his responsibility and accountability.
- A JE gets the damaged transformers changed in time.
- A JE is held responsible for everything related to the technical field.
- A JE sends linemen to disconnect the supplies of the consumers who don't pay the bills.
- A JE keeps all the concerned records like the new meters drawn from or returned to the laboratory.
The job timings are 9am to 5pm, plus emergency situations like accidents and heavy breakdowns. No shift system.
In PSTCL, there is no public dealing. A PSTCL JE just has to be at the substation and take care of the engineering and working of the substation. A PSTCL JE draws items from the store and gets them installed at the substation. A PSTCL JE has to follow the rules regarding when to turn off the supply and when to turn on the supply. If he makes a mistake, any accident or death of the working staff may occur, for which the JE shall be held responsible. There is a shift system in PSTCL. A PSTCL JE also earns an overtime salary.

Junior Engineer/ Civil with 110 vacancies Full-Time Regular 3/4 years Diploma in Civil Engg. from an institute recognized by State/ Central Govt. with minimum 60% marks
or
BE/ B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering in Civil Engg. with a minimum of 50 % marks or equivalent degree recognized by AICTE.
or
AMIE in Civil Engg. with at least 50% marks from Institution of Engineers(India) Calcutta
Revenue Accountant with 54 vacancies requires a Full-time regular B.Com with minimum 60% Marks or M.COM with Minimum 50% or CA Inter/ ICWA Inter.
Electrician Grade-II with 45 vacancies requires ITI or Diploma (Relevant Disciplines)
Divisional Supdt. Accounts with 26 vacancies require Full-time regular B. with minimum 60% Marks or M.COM with Minimum 50% or CA Inter/ ICWA Inter.
Steno-typist with 50 vacancies requires a Bachelor’s Degree with Computer & Shorthand Knowledge
Internal Auditor with 09 vacancies requires B.Com (1st Class) & M.Com(IInd Class) or ICWA/ ICA
Accounts Officer with 04 vacancies requiring CA/ ICWA
Candidates should have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree:
A certificate which supports that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam.
The percentage of marks obtained should be mentioned at the time of registration for the PSPCL examination.
Computer Literacy:
a) Knowledge of computer operation is a must as the PSPCL exam is conducted online.
b) Possess at least one hundred and twenty hours course with hands-on experience in the use of Personal Computer or Information Technology in Office productivity application or Desktop Publishing application from a Govt. recognized institution or a reputed institution, which is ISO 9001 certified
c) Possesses a Computer Information Technology Course equivalent to 'O' level certificate of Department. Of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) of Govt. of India
Language Proficiency: Qualification of Punjabi is essential for both posts: - For this purpose, all the candidates must have passed Punjabi of at least Matriculation or its equivalent level up to the date of document checking.
Note: Relaxable for Sikh Migrants up to the extent that they will have to acquire such qualification within two years after joining the service failing which their services shall be liable to the terminated.
18 - 37 years
Ex-servicemen of Punjab Domicile shall be allowed to deduct the period of his service in the Armed Forces of Union from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for direct appointment to such a vacancy in the Service Rules concerned by more than three years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.

Wives of the serving military personnel and wives of those who are disabled while in Military service

Women whose husbands have been ordered by Civil or Criminal courts to pay maintenance to them;
