Diseases are mainly two types based on the duration of time which are Acute and chronic diseases.1) Acute disease: Some diseases last for only very short periods of time, and these are called acute diseases.These diseases occur suddenly and last for a shorter time period.The acute disease causes sudden damage to the body.Examples of some Acute diseases are Typhoid, bone fracture, heart attack, cholera, common cold, jaundice, malaria, etc. 2) Chronic disease: The diseases that occur over a period of time and last a longer duration of time, or even for a lifetime are called chronic diseases.These diseases progress gradually and usually end up causing long-term damage to organs and internal systems. sometimes chronic diseases become fatal and cause loss of life.Examples of Chronic diseases are Diabetes, cancer, tuberculosis, arthritis, etc.
