Calf should be fed with colostrum at the rate- 1/10th of body weight and buffalo calves at the rate -1/15th of body weight. Feed the calf enough of colostrum between 2 to 2. 5 liters daily for the first 3 days following its birth. Colostrum contains low fat, high protein, vitamins and minerals forms a balanced feed for new-born calves.
