Learning disability refers to a neurological disorder that causes cognitive impairment. When they face difficulty in reading, they can not spell the words properly and are unable to write them accurately as well.Avoiding spelling as a criterion for evaluating assignments is an effective assessment strategy to assist children with learning disabilities. It will make children express themselves without any fear of being incorrect.The motive or the expectation from the students is not to get the right answer, rather the intention is to observe the thought process of the learner so that the qualitative performance of the student can be evaluated.They should not worry about right or wrong spelling, they need to focus on conceptual understanding.
