The teaching of English must be done in a way so that it could reduce errors and compel students to use English in their daily life and gives them confidence and satisfaction while using the language.There are many reasons that affect the teaching-learning process in India. The problem of teaching English as a second language to Indian students starts from pre-schooling.Action research is best suitable to find out the problems of teaching English and apply the required remedial measures.Action research is research intended to solve practical problems of an individual or a group or an institution through planned intervention.Action research refers to qualitative research which helps the teacher in identifying the root of the students' problems and developing a proper plan to address students' problems.Thus, it is concluded that Action research is best suitable to find out the problems of teaching English and apply the required remedial measures.Hint Descriptive research uses surveys to gather data about varying subjects. This data aims to know the extent to which different conditions can be obtained among these subjects.Experimental research is employed to establish and quantify the cause-effect relationship between two known variables.
