B.

D.

Solution:

Language is constitutive of being human. It is a marker of a speakers identity. Language defines the relationship among the members of a society and encodes the social hierarchies. ?The Official Language Act allows for the continuation of English alongside Hindi in the Indian government indefinitely until legislation decides to change it.Two languages are chosen to be the official languages used by the central administration:Hindi is the language used by the Central Government as per Article 343 when communicating with the states of the Hindi Belt.English is the Associate official language and the language to be used while communicating with the states.Article 343(1) of the Constitution provides that Hindi in Devanagari script shall be the Official Language of the Union and English is the associate official language.Article 343(2) also provided for continuing the use of English in official work of the Union for 15 years (i.e.up to 25 January 1965) from the date of commencement of the Constitution. Thus, it is concluded that associate official language is the status given to the English language in the Indian constitution.
