A group is a structure that creates boundaries and sustains interaction amongst members. Grouping is essential in human nature specifically in learning. It is central to human lives, and it is hard to imagine human existence without a group. Being in a group brings about collaboration in the achievement of set goals. ?Stages of Group FormationForming: Formation of Groups.Storming: There exists a considerable amount of fights and arguments in this stage.Norming: In the norming stage, the group works through individual and social issues. The group establishes its own norms of behaviour and begin to trust each other.Performing: In this stage, the group is ready to begin performing its respective task and assigned jobs.Adjourning: Post the performing stage, the group is adjourned. The adjourning stage ends the process of group formation. The teacher observes group work, cooperation among members of a group and provides guidance and help whenever children need.
