Artisan- an artisan is someone who uses traditional skills to create distinctive functional and attractive products with their hands. Artisans are masters of their trade who manufacture items like clothing, toys, tools, and furniture etc. Objectives of inviting local artisan in schools-Promoting art and craft in schools- Art and crafts allow young children to explore and express their feelings.If workshop on tie and dyeing of clothes handled by teacher than student learn bookish terminology or forign terminology of concept but if the same workshop conducted by local artisan than student learn concept in local language.Student can connect themselves with languge used in everyday life.They connect with real life situation with the help of local language.It also helps learners to develop creative problem solving skills and it connects students with their own culture as well as with the wider world. Hence, we can conclude that the purpose of inviting local artisans are the following except helping students learn local language because the language which artisan's hands speak makes interaction between him and learners. Even if the students do not have full knowledge of vocabulary they will still be able to express themselves through art.
