EVS, at the primary level, is an integrated subject area that incorporates knowledge from science (physical, chemical, and biological), social studies (history, geography, political science and etc), and environmental education (protection and conservation). Objectives of teaching EVS at the primary level:EVS, at the elementary level, aims to expose children to real-life events in order to help them connect classroom learning to life outside the school.To help children develop their own insights into the workings of various things or in comprehending human processes in their surroundings. Children's interaction with their surroundings is extremely important for their proper development.To understand, appreciate, and be aware of current environmental challenges including natural, physical, social, and cultural.Hence, we conclude that the objective of teaching EVS at the primary level is to enable students to link classroom learning to life outside the school.
