Environmental Studies are the subject of human interaction with their environment. It gives the learner a lot of freedom to explore their physical and social surroundings. A good textbook helps in teaching-learning as a resource. In most classrooms, the textbook is one and the only resource available to students and teachers. NCF- 2005 propagated for enriching the curriculum so that it goes beyond the textbook.
