The correct answer is 1 only. The Act of 1858 was known as an Act for the Better Government of India. The Act was enacted by the Parliament of Great Britain. The Act was given royal assent on 2nd August 1858 but was commenced on 1st November 1858. The Act was applicable to the territories under direct British control as well as the Princely State who had to accept the suzerainty of the British Crown. The Act of 1858 was related to the power transfer from East India Company to the British Crown. The act abolished the dual government of the Pitts India Act. The act also abolished the doctrine of lapse. The first secretary of State for India was Lord Stanley and the first Governor-general and Viceroy of India was Lord Canning. The East India Company was liquidated.
