During the excavation in this village in the year 1915, some people of the village found two copper plates, which were kept by the villagers in the temple built in the village. In the year 1963, a villager of the same village, realizing the importance of these copper sheets, got them placed in a museum in Lucknow. When these copper sheets were studied, it was found that these copper sheets were made in the fifth century. One of these Tamrapatras was built by Naresh Dhritivarman of Brahmapur state and the other by Tamrapatra King Vishnuvarman
