The correct answer is 1757. The first battle of Plassey took place on 23 June 1757 at a place called 'Plassi' on the banks of the river Ganges in the South Nadia district of Murshidabad. In this war, there was the army of the British East India Company on one side, and on the other side was the army of Siraj-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Bengal.
