Given below are two statements regarding the Hard Disk Drive (HDD)Statement I: HDD use circular platters coated in magnetic material.Statement II: Access to data is faster than with RAMIn light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the options given below

A.
Both Statement I and Statement II are true
B.
Both Statement I and Statement II are false
C.
Statement I is true but Statement II is false
D.
Statement I is false but Statement II is true

Solution:

A computer hard drive (or a hard disk or HDD) is one kind of technology that stores the operating system, applications, and data files such as documents, pictures, and music that your computer usesStatement I: HDD uses circular platters coated in the magnetic material. A platter is a circular magnetic plate that is used for storing data on a hard disk. Hard disks are flat circular plates made of aluminum or glass and coated with magnetic material. The platters are made of a non-magnetic material, sometimes metallic element alloy or glass, and are coated with a skinny layer of magnetic material. Hence, this statement is true. Statement II: Access to data is faster than with RAM. As we know the memory in use during an operation is from RAM because the RAM is way faster than the hard drive. The RAM is faster and data is transferred from the hard drive to RAM to ensure the CPU only deals with the fastest access of data possible. Hence the statement is False. ?Hence, the Statement I is true but Statement II is false
