Given below are two statements :Statement I: Hardware represents the physical and tangible parts of the computer.Statement II: Operating system is tailor-made software according to the user's requirements. In the light of the above statements, choose the correct answer from the options given below:
Statement I- ?Hardware represents the physical and tangible parts of the computer. Computer hardware, usually simply called hardware when a computing context is concerned, is the collection of physical elements that constitutes a computer system. Computer hardware is the physical parts or components of a computer, such as a monitor, mouse, keyboard, computer data storage, hard disk drive (HDD), graphic cards, sound cards, memory, motherboard, and so on, all of which are physical objects that are tangible. Hence, the statement I is correct. Statement II- Operating system is tailor-made software according to the user's requirements. Customized software (also known as bespoke software or tailor-made software) is software that is specially developed for some specific organization or other users. As such, it can be contrasted with the use of software packages developed for the mass market, such as commercial off-the-shelf software, or existing free software. Generally, there are four types of customized software: general-purpose software, entertainment software, special-purpose software, professional software. The Operating system is also known as system software and it acts as a platform for interaction between the hardware and the user. The OS paves the way for the application software to run on the system. Hence, statement II is incorrect. Therefore, Statement I is true but Statement II is false.
