Here's the question bank on all the ICT topics.
Given below are two statements: Statement I: Search engines are also known as web browsers.Statement II: 189.365.250.2 is an example of a valid IP address. In the light of the above statements, choose the Correct answer from the options given below:
A search engine is a software designed to carry out web searches, which means to search the World Wide Web in a systematic way for particular information specified in a textual web search query. A web browser is a software application used to access information on the World Wide Web. Simply, a web browser gives access to the internet and a search engine allows to search the internet once access is granted. Thus, a search engine is not the same thing as a web browser, though the two are often confused. An Internet Protocol address is a numerical address assigned to each device connected to a computer network that uses Internet Protocol for communication. An IP address serves two main functions: network interface identification and location addressing. A valid IP address must be in the form of A. B. C. D, where A, B, C, and D are numbers from 0 to 255. The numbers cannot be 0 prefixed unless they are 0. 14609 successful submissions. In Statement II, the IP address has a number that is more than 255 i. e. 365. Thus it is incorrect. Therefore, both Statement I and Statement II are false.
