Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program. It's used to create grids of text, numbers, and formulas specifying calculations. It is used to record expenditures and income, plan budgets, and chart data. Excel files are called workbooks. To start a new project in Excel, we need to create a new workbook. In the top center of the window to the right of the Quick Access toolbar is the Title bar. The Title Bar displays the title of your workbook. Additional InformationThe status bar is a name for the lower edge of the worksheet window, which displays various information about an Excel worksheet. The name box in excel is located on the left side of the excel window and it is used to give a name to a table or any cell, for any normal cells by default the name is the row character and the column number such as cell A1. The formula bar is the toolbar at the top of the spreadsheet that lets you enter or view the information in a cell. To use the formula bar to view information, click on a cell and look at the formula bar to see what is written in it.
