E-governance (electronic governance):It is a part of information and communication technology that aims to enhance the government's ability to fulfill the needs of the public. The aim of e-governance is to make things easy for everyone i. e. , citizens, government, and business at the local, state, and national levels. It is an electronic means to encourage good governance. A citizen comes into contact with the government in every aspect be it birth registration, marriage, divorce, or death. The G2C includes services from the government like transportation, telecommunication, medical facility, post, education, etc. The following are G2C initiatives:e-Health - E-Health services include ICT-enabled health services by the Government. Under this, all hospitals are included and a database of each patient may be created. A local pharmacy database is created. e-Help - E-Help denotes providing facilities in case of crisis and disaster using ICT. It contains the use of technologies such as SMS, and the internet and aims to reduce the response time of the Government agencies in case of any disaster. NGOs also help Government to provide help in case of disasters. Online information regarding warnings, calls, and disasters can be given with the help of technologies with the help of which Government and the NGOs coordinate the rescue work.
